Display of Agility & Speed
Sergio Agüero has his own museum. And he’s only 24 years old. It displays his favorite memorabilia: jerseys, balls, and boots from different stages in his career. Hailing from Argentina, the striker known as “Kun” – a nickname from his favorite childhood cartoon – has quickly made a name for himself in international football arenas. What Agüero lacks in height he makes up for in agility and speed. Not to mention uncanny ball control. He has worked hard since his youth and his pro career is no different. He started with Independiente at 15 years and 35 days, becoming the youngest player to debut in the Argentine First Division and breaking the record previously established by Diego Maradona. He scored 23 goals in 54 matches before joining Atletico Madrid for a record transfer fee in 2006. In Madrid he scored 74 goals in 175 matches and actively participated in the Europa League and the European Super Cup 2010. In August 2011, he signed with Manchester City and remains a critical part of the Citizens’ football dynasty. Agüero is also a member of the Argentina National Team, and participated in the 2010 World Cup. So what’s next for Agüero? Plenty. After all, that museum still has space to fill…
