Winning from Paris to Glasgow

Mikel Arteta joined the FC Barcelona youth academy, “La Masia,” when he was 15. He learned quickly and improved a lot, and was loaned to Paris Saint Germain in 2001 and 2002 where he became an important player of the first team. After that he played 2 years for Glasgow Rangers where he won the Scottish Premier League, the Cup, and the League in 2002-2003. He also joined Real Sociedad for 1 year before signing for Everton in 2005. There, he became one of the best players of the team and one of the most successful midfielders of the Premier League. He appeared more than 200 times for the club from Liverpool and scored 35 goals. In August 2011, Mikel Arteta was recruited by the very famous Arsenal FC, where he has already found an important place in the team.
