King with Vision
Mikel Arteta started to build his creative football skills early on, including his uncanny crossing ability and unexpected attacks. As a kid, he battled it out with friends on Basque beaches. As a teenager, he laced up his favorite PUMA Kings and joined the FC Barcelona youth academy, “La Masia.” He was later loaned to Paris Saint-Germain in 2001 and 2002 where he became an important player of the first team. He went onto play 2 years for the Glasgow Rangers where he won the Scottish Premier League, the Cup, and the League in 2002-2003. He also joined Real Sociedad for 1 year before signing with Everton in 2005. With Everton, he became one of the team’s strongest players and the most successful midfielders in the Premier League, appearing more than 200 times and scoring 35 goals. In August 2011, Mikel Arteta found a new football home at Arsenal FC. Though much has changed through the years, a few things have remained the same. Not least of which is that ever-youthful love for football and those trustworthy PUMA Kings.
