Falcão Fires His Side to Glory!

Falcão had been named on the bench and with the match heading towards a 1-1 draw was introduced by the Colombian coach to use his pace, power and excellent finishing to make an impact on the game. As we’ve come to expect from the Atlético Madrid striker, it didn’t take long for Falcão to make his mark - and more importantly, get his name on the score sheet.

The 90 minutes had been a close fought affair, but after a couple of efforts Falcão sealed victory for his country with the last kick of the encounter to send the fans wild.

25 year-old Falcão has had a fantastic start to the season bagging five goals in as many games following his move to Atlético Madrid for the best part of €40 million. As we saw yesterday, Falcão’s goal-scoring ability in both Europe and South America is helping establish the striker as one of the world’s hottest properties.
