PUMA is delighted to announce that it has entered into a new partnership with the South African Football Association to become the official technical supplier to the SAFA. Starting immediately and lasting beyond the next two FIFA World Cups, PUMA will provide the official playing kits for all South African teams including the National ‘A’, Youth and Women’s teams.

The new PUMA South Africa kit was also launched in Johannesburg today, by South African captain Stephen Pienaar along with Bongani Khumalo, Itumeleng Khune and Katlego Mphela. The South African national team will debut the new PUMA kit during their next fixture scheduled for the 10th August (opponents to be confirmed).

Featuring the very latest innovations of PUMA technology, the kit incorporates performanceenhancing fabric through moisture wicking properties, mesh inserts on the side for improved ventilation and embossed fabric to enhance the aesthetic appearance.  The shirt will also feature both the Protea and SAFA badges. In line with PUMA’s CSR commitment to Africa, all proceeds from replica home shirt sales of the launch kit, will be donated to the SOS Children Villages in South Africa, a cause designated by the South African Football Association.

South Africa become the twelfth African international team to be outfitted by PUMA, following in the footsteps of African Cup of Nations champions Egypt, as well as Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Algeria, Senegal, Morocco, Togo, Burkina Faso, Malawi and Namibia.

It looks exactly like Tottenham's home kit but it's not that bad it's just that i'm used to Adidas as the outfitter of Bafana Bafana

We South Africans like STYLE not sure if Puma did their research but looking at this replica Spurs Jersey given to Bafana Bafana, I think they are taking us for granted as a nation!!! We are a nation that prides ourselves on how we look and dress but this mediocre kit is not on. Please respect our team and design something good for our team not this rubbish

I love that puma is sponsoring our team. The replica kit will be affordable. Now to really add some value to it. Please redesign our NATIONAL TEAM kit so it doesn't look like a CLUB (spurs) kit.

So what are we now... Tottenham Spurs in different colours? Ag no man Puma don't insult this great nation by giving us a Recycled Ugly Design! I, for one, will not buy this piece of thrash. i'll hang on to my addidas replica. And it's not about the brand as the Italy Puma replica jersey is a nice design. Thanks but no thanks. .

The kit design looks like Tottenham's design unless there is a better design and this was just a launch...please be innovative people.....#mixedfeelingsfan

I'm disappointed at Puma as a brand, for releasing a mediocre National South Africa soccer kit in regards to style and innovativeness, and disappointed at SAFA, for accepting it as the final design. Why weren't the kits made like this for example: since there are two kits (home and away kit), why weren't the replicas made so one is affordable such as the current green replica jersey, and another the other showing quality and innovativeness in design. This is a National Replica Soccer Jersey after all, it should be of the highest standard.

i dont see why this is a big issue that the jersey is the replication of spurs, i mean you have algeria, ghana, cote de'ivoire, cameroon etc, they all play good fooball with good players, then in south Africa you have plutinum stars, swallows, jomo cosmose and bay united from 1st division but those national teams all they do is to play football not complaints about this and that and all those have same design but different colours. to this bafana new gear yes its the same design as spurs and as far as i know this the best they have from puma; spurs and bafana are the only football teams have this jersey we have nothing too special that we can critise this move. puma and safa thank you have done a gret job

I dnt like it at all, I believet that Puma could have come up with something that rocks so we may not look back and start compering the outfit with the previous one which was not even the same brand. I jst hope that the coming one will rock and convience the stay of the Team.
