Last night, Sky Blue FC donned their pink kits as they hosted their Project Pink game vs the Western New York Flash. While Sky Blue fans were disappointed with the 2-0 defeat, they did rally together to support the fight against breast cancer and support Project Pink. Sky Blue has selected the local NJ affiliate of Susan G. Komen as their team charity and urged fans to make sure to vote for them once voting begins on September 26th. Sky Blue also hosted a pink jersey raffle in which they raffled off all their player jerseys to lucky fans and donated the money to Susan G. Komen. Fans decked themselves out in pink to show their support of this great cause.
For your chance to be a part of a WPS Project Pink game, mark these dates in your calendar. Every fan who comes to these games will receive a free pink rally band, free temporary PUMA cat tattoos, pink eye black and will have had the chance to make Project Pink their project.
