Laudehr goal powers Germany into the last eight
July 01, 2011PUMA soccer star Simone Laudehr hammered home a 54th minute volley to cement Germany’s place in the Quarter Finals of the Women’s World Cup in Frankfurt with a 1-0 victory over Nigeria last night. In front of a packed arena in Frankfurt, the home nation squeezed past a resilient Nigerian side with a clinical second half finish from Laudehr to settle the tie. Sporting the latest PUMA v1.11 boots, Simone proved fairly tough to catch as she ran away in celebration having sealed the fate of the hard-working Nigerians.

June 30, 2011Yesterday saw five-time World Player of the Year Marta and her Brazilian team-mates kick off their Women’s World Cup campaign with a 1-0 win against a well organised Australian team, who matched them throughout the game. The match saw 27,258 fans pack into Germany’s Borussia Park, Moenchengladbach. PUMA were well represented with 9 players on show for Brazil in Marta, Andreia, Rosana, Formiga, Ester, Maurine, Erika, Christiana and Fabiana.
