Later at dinner something amazing happened. Players, managers and coaches spontaneously started having speeches to everyone’s enormous delight. In fact, by the time it was time for Head Coach Milovan Rajevac to say a few words, the players were dancing all over the room - jumping, waving their napkins in the air, singing and clapping their hands.
After the calm had passed one of the teammates played a little song on the piano to Appiah and some of the staff, who stood beside with delighted eyes. It has been said before but can never be repeated enough – there’s just something about the Ghanaian team spirit.
