The video below tells the unique story behind the Gabon shirt and how local artists Owanto received a call from PUMA asking her to come on board with the project. The video depicts how Owanto’s initial sketches were then turned into something that embodies the soul of the Gabonese people and energy of the panther, much to the delight of the Gabon squad!
Later today Gabon host five-time World Cup winners Brazil in the opening match to be held at the Stade de L'Amitie. The Panthers have a near full-strength squad to choose from as they entertain the South American giants in what is sure to be an exciting match.
