The PUMA Eco-Table

The PUMA Eco-Table

The PUMA Eco-table is an example of this endeavor. These icons will appear on products and packaging to highlight the eco-friendly materials used to create them; you’ll notice them on our product hangtags, which we’ve reduced by 45% saving 182 tons of paper annually. The icons reassure that the product being purchased reduces the negative impact on the planet.

Aside from everyone needing to smile more and enjoy good humor, the tags, clever little bags, and all the ways PUMA is being eco-friendly is so refreshing. PUMA IS a brand name!! If a very well-established, striving, and stable company, like PUMA, is able to adapt their practices with this ever-changing world, there is no reason why the people standing on that same world cant do something!! Even if it is just a simple smile to brighten someone's day...it's something!!!!

The information on here is inspiring. As a Teacher of Design and Technology, I am always looking for resources and examples which inform pupils about sustainability in industry and design. Puma seems to be an ideal role model for young designers in the making! I would be interested to know more.
