Hi Guys! Eric here. What a brilliant weekend in Germany: a stunning victory for Fernando Alonso, loads of overtaking in the race and lots of wildly enthusiastic fans generating a unique atmosphere in the grandstands.

Hi Guys! Eric here. What a brilliant weekend in Germany: a stunning victory for Fernando Alonso, loads of overtaking in the race and lots of wildly enthusiastic fans generating a unique atmosphere in the grandstands.
If you love racing cars, you’ll love racing in Germany. As soon as you land at Frankfurt Airport, you’re reminded of the country’s passion for the automobile. Billboards are covered with Mercedes adverts and throughout grand prix week there are many references to Formula One. Did you know that many of the greats have won the German GP, and lots of them for the last time? Nino Farina, Juan-Manuel Fangio, Jackie Stewart, Jochen Rindt and Alain Prost all took the last wins of their ultra-successful F1 careers in Deutschland.
But given the form of Alonso and Ferrari this season, you sense that there are many more wins to come from them in 2012. While you ponder that thought, take a look at my photos from the weekend!
