There was a hugely exciting battle for the lead between the Red Bull drivers and a brilliant result for Mercedes AMG Petronas, with Lewis Hamilton coming third and Nico Rosberg fourth. It was Lewis’s first podium for his new team.
The race had it all: rain in the early stages, controversy at the front and some sublime driving. Even in the pits there was drama with Jenson Button and Force India’s chances of good results ending with wheelnut problems. And it was hot!
