    Great Weekend for the Puma supplied Scuderia Ferrari Malboro with a magnificent first place for Fernando Alonso in his first Grand Prix in Monza as a Ferraristi. This victory in the 81st Italian Grand Prix was the home success the Tifosi had been waiting for since 2006. On the fastest circuit of the Formula 1 season, the Spanish driver Fernando Alonso finished first with win number 24th in his entire Formula 1 career, while Felipe Massa came home third with his fourth podium appearance this season.
    With both drivers on the podium in their home race, Alonso and Massa keep the championship fight alive. Fernando Alonso is now is now in a good third place within striking distance to Lewis Hamilton and Marc Webber.

    Italian Grand Prix of Monza – Home Race for the Tifosi

    Built in 1922, the Italian Grand Prix of Monza is one of the longest running events on the Formula 1 racing calendar and has been the location for most of the Italian races over the years. The traditional circuit consists of very long straights and only 3 real corners – the two Lesmos and the Parabolica.
    The circuit is the only one in the racing calendar that pushes the Formula 1 cars to their maximum performance of 340 kmh (210 mph) and makes sure that their engines are at full throttle for nearly 80% of the lap.

    Finally the almost never-ending F1 summer break is over and we are looking forward to an exciting race weekend on one of the most traditional racing tracks – Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. Since the Hungarian Grand Prix, all Formula 1 cars have not turned a wheel and it’s going to be very interesting to see who will come away from the holidays in good form.

    Casey Stoner managed third place at the MotoGP race in Brno behind race winner Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa and moved himself up to the third place in the overall World Championship standing. Unimpressed by his injured left wrist, Nicky Hayden finished the race in a good 6th position after a hard and exciting battle for position five with the current World Champion Valentino Rossi.
