3. The first mascot of Botafogo was none other than Donald Duck, while nowadays Briba, a dog thought to be a lucky charm in the 1940s, has been adopted by fans.

5. Botafogo have played at several stadiums, including the world famous Maracanã. In 1912, they had to play in a field for a season, but now reside at the spectacular Estádio Olímpico João Havelange
