The Running Team
It’s been 5 days since the starting gun kicked off the last race and, honestly, we cannot believe that it’s over. It flew by in a blink of an eye. First, Jamaican speedsters, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Veronica Campbell-Brown snatched the 1-3 spots of the Women’s 100m Final. Next, World’s Fastest Man Legend, Usain Bolt, flew into the finish line of the Men’s 100m Final in a new Olympic Record of 9.63s. Then Team PUMA – ahem, Jamaica, we mean – swept the Men’s 200m medals and rounded the track for a triply Jamaican victory lap. Before we knew it, the final day dawned for Track & Field and Uganda’s Stephen Kiprotich, draped in his country’s flag (and his PUMA singlet) ran across the finish line of the Men’s Marathon.
All in all we had a wonderful time in London. The PUMA Cat mounted the Track & Field medal podium 16 different times (7 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze). And Usain Bolt showed the world that he’s not to be underestimated. That lightning can, in fact, strike twice. In his case, 3 times.
