After a fantastic weekend of international football, it gives us great pleasure to officially launch the new Italy kit!

As the second most successful team in the world, having won the World Cup in 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006, the Azzurri kit boasts a truly unique legacy. The instantly recognisable azure blue of the shirt unites Italians all over the world, thanks to their shared love of the beautiful game. For Italians the Azzurri blue is much more than just a colour and the Gli Azzurri kit represents so much more than football.

The latest Italy Home Shirt is a limited edition that boasts 4 stars, an official FIGC badge, and vintage styling. The slim fit shirt has a 3D graphic embossed print with a welded patch pocket and the 4-way stretch underarm panel, cuffs, and back mesh enhance freedom of movement, fashioned after on-pitch player jerseys. The flat knit rib collar with contrast tipping and tonal bottomless placket add a bit of retro styling to this modern, fast-forward design.

To coincide with the launch, PUMA Football stars Giorgio Chiellini and Gianluigi Buffon filmed a short video to celebrate the kit, which will make its debut tomorrow against fellow PUMA side Uruguay in what is sure to be an awesome 90 minutes of football.

It’s been an exciting time at PUMA lately following last week’s launch of 10 African kits, as well as the recent unveiling of the PowerCat 1.12s and Yaya Touré, Falcão, Sergio Agüero, Cesc Fàbregas and Thierry Henry all committing their future to PUMA.

You can let us know your thoughts on the new Azzurri football kit on Facebook, Tweeting at us or by using the #PUMAFootball hashtag on Twitter.

Per favore, spiegateci il mistero della maglietta di De Rossi durante la partita Italia-Uruguay; una manica lunga e una corta, invertite nell'intervallo. Cordiali saluti

PUMA i have observed since 2005 that the kits designed for the Europeans by PUMA especially the Italian National Team are always nicer, better and technologically advanced than the ones designed for Africa. Why do u choose to discriminate.Secondly why do all the African Kits have the same style formats with differences coming from the national colors of the sides only. Frankly I have not been impressed and there is no shortage of this consistent discrimination towards poor African teams here at the Ghana FA.

@samuel: puma doesnt discriminate against anyone, the italian team produced 4 fifa championships which gana wasnt able to produce and they are one of our best sponsors, and our company is very involved with italy due to ferrari and ducati. But we also provide our african kits with very good technology and performence. We produced a whole line of shoe dedicated to Usain Bolt and he is not italian he is from the caribbean so we definitely dont discrimante any nations.

Bel lavoro complimenti.
