Les Éléphants: Congrats, Autographs, Jokesters and More Cowbells

We talked a bit about the Ivory Coast team whom he had met a few times, most recently during the Africa Cup Of Nations earlier this year. He showed us his full book of pictures he’d taken of the whole team, and that’s about when we had to finish our conversation with him as he was much more eager to capture more autographs of the team. So we excused ourselves and left (though we doubt he even noticed) only to discover Bacary Kone sitting in the storage department of the bus making jokes.

As the training camp is between downtown Gstaad and the mountains, the bus sometimes have to stop for – yup – Swiss cows. They just couldn’t care less who’s in the bus or not and pass with their enormous cowbells slowly and loudly dangling, while the whole team just standing on beside, watching them with amusement.
