First up were some events with a football twist where the stars played to raise money to UNEP.
And the game itself? It was quite epic. Seeing all the stars together on the pitch, side-by-side in mixed teams united by one jersey is in itself both unique and totally, totally awesome.
Eto’o, Drogba, Mensah, Kolo & Yaya Touré, Muntari, Idrissou, Song, Eboué, Keita, Paintsil, Gervinho, Appiah, Kameni, Zokora – all the stars were there to show their support for Africa and football - showing the world massive statement of the Africa Unity Kit that football can bridge borders and unite people from 53 countries as one.
It was almost a pinch-your-arm kind of experience. PUMAFootball felt so very proud to stand by the sidelines and watch Ivory Coast, Ghana and Cameroon play together – united for Africa and football.
