#MatchMonday: Gomez Strikes Again

PUMA Football star Mario Gomez has done it again! The Bundesliga danger man was in fantastic form over the weekend, grabbing an expertly headed goal after 16 minutes as his side claimed a 2-1 away victory. The goal is his 13th in the Bundesliga and 24th in all competitions in what is shaping up to be a memorable season for the forward.

Gomez’s strike came hot on the heels of an awesome Champions League hat-trick last week that put his side on the verge of qualification. The German international’s tremendous form in front of goal has got everyone talking about his chances of grabbing more than 40 goals in a season to break the long-standing Bundesliga record – and on current form Gómez looks well placed to re-write history.

Yesterday’s win means Gomez’s side are now on 28 points, five clear of champions Borussia Dortmund in what looks to be another close season in the Bundesliga.

Can Super Mario hit more than 40 goals this season and make history? Will it be enough to land his side the title or will Borussia Dortmund grab top spot?
