PUMA extends long-term contract with the Mighty Lions of Cameroon

We have been working with the mighty Lions of Cameroon since 1996.  This morning we are delighted to announce that this great work will continue over the coming years and through the next FIFA World Cups™.

The icing on the cake is that we will continue to sponsor some of the country’s hottest footballing talent in Samuel Eto’o, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Stephane Mbia, Landry Nguemo and Mohammadou Idrissou.

Over the last 14 years, we have worked with Cameroon to produce the nation’s first sleeveless football strip, their first all-in-one strip and the first continental kit in the PUMA Africa Unity Kit. 

We have worked with African nations for a long time now, but the relationship extends beyond football kits and team partnerships.  We are continuing to support grass roots initiatives right across Africa. 

Coinciding with the extension of our contract with Cameroon, 10,000 durable footballs have been delivered to Africa following a joint pledge in collaboration with Intersport®.  A third of these footballs will go towards projects in Cameroon - you never know, one of them might just produce the next Sammy Eto’o!
