Race Village Opens Tonight

The Alicante Race Village will hold their opening ceremonies tonight.  

For all of you that are in Alicante (or wish you were here), the city will formally welcome the Volvo Ocean Race fleet to town.  The finishing touches are being put on all the pavilions, including the PUMA Quad shop and PUMA Social Club.  

 

Opening ceremonies start at 18:00 local time.  Make sure to stop by the PUMA Social Club while in the village.  

 

Race village opening timetable (all times UTC+2):
1800 – Race Village opens to public
1900 – Rolling Stones tribute band
2030 – Opening ceremony including presentation of Volvo Ocean Race teams
2155 – Fireworks display
