Chalking up yet another historic mark, Usain Bolt takes the gold in the 200 meter dash with a time of 19.40 seconds – the fastest time clocked this year and the fourth fastest time ever run.
After cruising into the semi-finals with a comfortable yet field-leading time of 20.30 seconds, Usain Bolt continued his controlled dominance over the competition with a safe 20.31 second semi-final performance to secure a place in the 200 meter final on September 3rd at 8:20 am EST (21:20 Korean time).
Thursday, September 1st at 10:10 pm EST (Friday, Sept. 2nd 11:10 am Korean time) Usain Bolt will be back in action in his bid to remain the world’s fastest man at 200 meters. If all goes well – as nothing is ever certain in sprinting – Usain will make it through both the qualifying and semi-final heats to secure a
place in the final on September 3rd. Having already posted the year’s fastest time of 19.86 seconds on
June 9th, Usain Bolt will be in an excellent position to vie for another world title, and despite last Sunday’s
unfortunate result, Bolt remains a strong favorite to win.
In a little more than a week, Usain Bolt will toe the line in the 100m heats to start his 2011 Track & Field World Championship campaign to show the world why he's the World's Fastest Man.
She did it! PUMA Runner, Delilah DiCrescenzo, is heading to the Track and Field World Championships for her first time this August after placing third in the 3000m Steeplechase at the USA Track and Field Championships on Sunday in a speedy 9:46.31.
The countdown is almost over. The World's Fastest Man and PUMA athlete, Usain Bolt, is stepping back on the track tomorrow, May 26th, to start this Championship season. The race is scheduled for 21:45 CET Rome, Italy.
It's been almost a full year since Bolt last raced but watching him at a recent practice, it's clear that he's ready.
