With over halfway of the season gone, it’s time to see who is leading the PUMA top scorers chart…

10. Peter Crouch, Stoke City

Club Appearances – 24
Club Goals – 8

Since signing for Stoke at the end of the summer transfer window, Crouch has added a new dimension to their attack. His first goal was an equaliser against Manchester United and he hasn’t looked back. Six goals in 19 league matches and two in two European games mean he is currently averaging a goal every three games, and he has made many more with his intelligent forward play.

9. Samuel Eto’o, FC Anzhi Makhachkala

Club Appearances – 12
Club Goals – 8

One of the greatest strikers of modern times, Eto’o scored on his debut for the Russian club after coming on as a substitute. Averaging better than a goal every other game in his career, it was no surprise he scored seven more league goals before the end of the Russian season. Expect more when the new season starts in March.

8. Marco Reus, Borussia Mönchengladbach

Club Appearances – 17
Club Goals – 12

With 11 goals in 15 league games and one in the cup, Reus has already equalled his goals record from 2010-11. More than just a goalscorer, he also has six assists this season and his hometown club, Borussia Dortmund, have paid €17.5m to take him home in the summer.

7. Bafétimbi Gomis, Olympique Lyonnais

Club Appearances – 28
Club Goals – 14

Like Reus, Gomis has scored as many this season as he did in the whole of 2010-11. With over three months left of the season, the big, pacy striker will hope to continue the form that has seen him score eight league goals in 20 games and six goals in eight European games, including the fastest ever Champions League hat-trick.

6. Cesc Fàbregas, Barcelona

Club Appearances – 23
Club Goals – 14

The only midfielder on the list, Cesc has had a fantastic first season back at his childhood club. He’s scored nine goals in 14 league games, two in three cup matches and three in six European games. He also has 12 assists to make him Europe’s top midfielder this season.

5. Loïc Rémy, Marseille

Club Appearances – 29
Club Goals – 15

After years struggling to settle in France, Rémy has been brilliant since signing for Marseille. He has followed his 17 goals in 2010-11 with a further 15 so far this season and has also become a regular with the French national team. Like many other PUMA stars, he is on course for his best ever season. The boots must have something to do with it.

4. Thierry Henry, New York Red Bulls and Arsenal

Club Appearances – 33
Club Goals – 17

Legend, icon and at the age of 34 still a phenomenal striker. Created two goals on his debut for the Red Bulls and was on fire as they finished top of the MLS Eastern Conference. Although he has been used as a substitute for Arsenal, he has still managed two goals in his four appearances for the club he loves.

3. Radamel Falcao, Atlético Madrid

Club Appearances – 23
Club Goals – 17

Two-footed, quick and good in the air, Falcao is the complete modern striker. People thought he might struggle to replace Sergio Agüero but he has proved them all wrong. The 25-year-old has 14 goals in 16 league games (including two hat-tricks) and three goals in six Europa League games.

2. Sergio Agüero, Manchester City

Club Appearances – 28
Club Goals – 18

When ‘Kun’ came on as a substitute for his Manchester City debut, nobody was quite sure how he would adapt. Two goals and one assist later, and everyone agreed it was one of the best debuts ever seen in the English game. His movement and finishing have made Manchester City the team to beat this season, and on top of his 14 league goals he has three in domestic cup competitions and one in Europe.

1. Mario Gomez, Bayern Munich

Club Appearances – 27
Club Goals - 25

17 goals in 18 league appearances, seven in seven European games and one in the German cup make Gomez the deadliest striker in Europe. He has scored every sort of goal so far this season, headers, volleys, close-range strikes, and is on course to score even more than the 39 he got last season. A phenomenon.
