Usain Bolt Leads Jamaica to Record-Breaking Gold

The team of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt averaged an astounding 9.26 seconds for each leg of the race and finished with a staggering 1.16 second margin of victory over their closest competitors. Shaving off .06 seconds from their previous world record of 37.10, Jamaica makes a clean sweep of the sprint events with Yohan Blake’s 100 meter gold medal and Usain Bolt’s world title at 200 meters. 

Jamaica proved again to be the fastest country in the world with victories in the men’s 100 and 200m and women’s 200m, finishing 4th world’s best country overall on the medal table and placing table over all the events. Other teams outfitted by PUMA were Grenada, Uganda, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic and Botswana.

"We're natural born athletes. It's all about running fast. As long as we got the baton round, I had no doubts." said Usain Bolt, the World's Fastest Man, about Jamaica’s relay record. The Jamaicans, PUMA's partner, celebrated in typically flamboyant style, dancing on the track and posing for photographs. A great end to the World Championships.
