Abu Dhabi has many things that you can’t see anywhere else in the world. Its desert sand dunes are hundreds of feet high and its pristine coastline is dotted with funky skyscrapers designed by some of the world’s most famous architects. The city has a sub-tropical, arid climate, which means lots of sunny blue skies and high temperatures most of the year.
Abu Dhabi is rich in cultural heritage. While our PUMA sailors are in town, they are sure to relax and catch some sites. One of many is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Its distinguished by four, massive, 350-foot minarets (a minaret is a tall spire on a building that is sometimes shaped like an onion or a cone), 82 white marble domes, and what's possibly the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet.
If you’re in Abu Dhabi while our team is there, be sure to shout a “hi ho, sailor” to them.
