The team just wrapped up their visit to Sanya, the southernmost city in China. It has beautiful beaches and a bustling city centre. It also has one of the tallest statues in the world: the Guan Yin stature in Hainan is a Buddhist statue that stands 354 feet (108 meters) high. (Just imagine 50 or so basketball players standing on one another’s shoulders!)
There’s plenty to explore in Sanya, from sea shell museums to Bengal tigers at the zoo. If you’re in town, enjoy yourself, and make sure you say “ni hao” (pronounced “nee haow” and means “hello” in Chinese) to our fellow friends!
