Jermaine Gonzales (aka, "Gonz") is the fastest 400 meter runner in Jamaica. He set the Jamaican National record of 44.40 during the 2010 season. He and close friend Usain Bolt proved themselves to be top competitors in the sport at a young age. Gonz placed third in the 400m at both the 2001 World Youth Championships and the 2002 World Junior Championships. Now Gonz is coached by Jamaican legend Bert Cameron, and trains at the IAAF high performance centre in Kingston with Bolt.
