Today marks the halfway point in the IAAF 2011 Track & Field World Championships in Daegu, South Korea and as can be expected for Track and Field, the unexpected has clearly prevailed thus far.

With Usain Bolt’s shocking false-start exit from the 100 meter dash finals, the final stretch heroics of soon-to-be 19 year old Kirani James of Grendada to take gold in the men’s 400meter dash, the surprising disqualification of Cuba’s Dayron Robles after tangling with Liu Xiang of China in the 110 meter hurdle final, and the photo finish between Allyson Felix of the United States and Amantle Montsho of Botswana in the women’s 400 meter final – the 2011 World Championships have already proven to be full of excitement and drama.

Adding to the overall dynamic of this year’s event, so far, no world records have fallen so the question looms, who will be the first athlete to end the drought? Yet even without new world records, Daegu has still seen some truly great performances. What moments so far have stood out the most to you?
