    The first ever PUMA Survival Run took place last weekend in the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, Germany. About 1,200 courageous runners tested their survival instincts as they encountered numerous natural and simulated barricades.

    At the Great North CityGames on September 18, England went head-to-head against Australia on the Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside in England.  A unique 150m straight four-lane track was laid down on the streets along the river, making for a spectacular setting.

    The 2000 mile run from Boston to Austin has begun! On September 15 at 10AM EST in Boston, MA, Rusty Tolliver and brothers Scott and Rhys Jenkins began a remarkable trek that will have them running over 26.2 miles per day for the next 10 weeks.  If they are successful they will set a new World Record for running the most consecutive marathons.

    PUMA is pleased to sponsor three brave athletes on a very exciting yet daunting expedition that will see them running 2000 miles from Boston to Austin over a period of 75 days!  On September 15, the three men (Scott Jenkins (29) and his brother Rhys Jenkins (22) from the UK, and Rusty Tolliver (24) from Texas) will leave Boston to embark on this ultra endurance challenge that could see them break the World Record for most consecutive marathons while raising money for charity.

    On September 4, 2010, the 100 most ambitious female runners in Germany took on PUMA Athlete, Sabrina Mockenhaupt (Mocki) in a spectacular race between the hare and the hedgehog.  10 relay teams of 10 women raced against Mocki over the distance of 10,000m.  Mocki ran the whole 10,000m herself while each member of the relay team ran 1,000m.

    Congratulations to PUMA Athletes Moses Kipsiro, Mark Lewis-Francis, and Sean Quigley who all competed this past weekend. Kipsiro and Lewis-Francis both competed in the Continental Cup in Split, Croatia while Quigley raced in the USA 20km Championships in New Haven, CT, USA.

    We?re thrilled to tell you that Usain Bolt has renewed his contract with PUMA. We will continue to supply the World?s Fastest Man with training and racing footwear and apparel, and he will continue to collaborate on the development of key product lines, including the expansion of his very own Bolt Collection range.  Although terms of the deal have not been released, the new contract is by far the largest ever given to a track & field athlete, but also puts Usain among the top earners across all sports.
