With 2011 on its last legs, it’s time to start making some new running resolutions for 2012. Where should you start though? Maybe last year you set out with high hopes, but found your goal wasn’t actually within reach. On the other hand, maybe you set your sights too low, and it all came too easily for your own good. Even if you were right on par with last year’s proposition, we’ve got a few new running resolutions that might make next year all the more exciting.

Are you that busy person who squeezes her run in the wee early hours? The one who has woken up starving but unsure what to eat afraid of running on a full stomach?
Let’s face it. New England Falls are awesome. Red golden leaves crunch under your feet, the sky is a crisp pale blue, and sweet scent of pumpkin spice lattes from your local café perk up your early morning runs. Warm colors of apple, maple, cinnamon, caramel and chocolate convince you that you are a proud New Englander.
Another win for Usain Bolt in 2011 as the IAAF names him “Athlete of the Year.”
For serious distance runners, very few races can compare to the size and excitement presented by the New York Marathon. As the song goes, “if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere,” which is why this weekend, we’ll be in the Big Apple to help all athletes and supporters make the most of this great event.
