Boys & Girls Champs

2010 marks the 100th year of the annual Boys & Girls Champs in Jamaica. It is hands-down the best and most unique high school track & field meet in the world. With 30,000 spectators packed into Jamaica's National Stadium, each wearing the color of the school they support, the atmosphere is off the charts. And that's just inside the stadium. Across the island almost half of Jamaica's 2.8 million inhabitants tune in live to the Champs on TV. And everyone has an opinion, from the taxi driver who thinks it's Calabar's year to the hotel bar tender who knows the next Usain Bolt will come from Wolmers. An experience like no other track meet, you can't say you've seen it all in Athletics until you've been to the Champs.
