Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: The PUMA Perspective
November 14, 2011It was exactly a year ago in Abu Dhabi that 2005/6 world champion Fernando Alonso lost out on becoming Formula 1’s youngest-ever triple champion. Having become the sport’s youngest champion with his first crown, he relieved Michael Schumacher of the ‘youngest double’ a year later. For a driver as competitive as Fernando, the triple is a logical next step.

Eddie Jordan: Abu Dhabi Preview
November 11, 2011Let me confess something: I love being in Abu Dhabi for the grand prix, but have not as yet been able to put my finger on the reason. I mean, it’s great to have a place relatively close to Europe where we can race in warm weather in mid-November, but that alone is not the reason.

Eddie Jordan: New Delhi Preview
October 28, 2011Having visited India a few times on sponsor search missions as a team owner, I was really looking forward to returning here for the first Indian Grand Prix. During those visits I grew to love this place, and believe we can learn so much from the attitude of the people – many of them lead unbelievably hard lives, yet their eyes radiate a peace that is simply unique.

Korean Grand Prix: The PUMA Perspective
October 17, 2011Having won in Korea last year, Fernando Alonso and PUMA’s partner team Scuderia Ferrari arrived in the Asian country for the second Korean Grand Prix with high hopes for a strong result, particularly as the combination had finished a close second in the previous week’s Japanese Grand Prix.

Eddie Jordan: Yeongam Preview
October 14, 2011This seems to be a week of congratulations: Since I last blogged from Suzuka, Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing have secured a second consecutive world drivers’ championship, and equally significantly – certainly from my own perspective - is that PUMA has announced a new partnership with MERCEDES GP PETRONAS and Michael Schumacher.

Japanese Grand Prix: The PUMA Perspective
October 11, 2011After 15 gruelling races in which he failed to finish lower than fourth, Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing clinched the 2011 FIA World Championship for Drivers on Sunday in Japan. The 24-year-old German placed third – having needed just one point – in the thrilling 53-lap race at the classic Suzuka circuit to put the title beyond reach of his only remaining challenger Jenson Button, who took his McLaren to a third 2011 race victory.

Eddie Jordan: Suzuka Preview
October 07, 2011It really is wonderful to be back in Japan. I just love the place, and of course feel a strong connection to the country through having managed many drivers who raced here, plus I used Yokohama tyres in my Formula 3 team, and in Formula 1 we were successful with Bridgestone rubber.

Singapore Grand Prix: The PUMA Perspective
September 26, 2011All hopes Fernando Alonso and PUMA’s partner team Ferrari had of laying claim to the 2011 FIA Formula One World Championship collapsed on Sunday when the Spaniard, World Champion in 2005/6, finished fourth in the Singapore Grand Prix, thus putting him out of mathematical reckoning for the title with five (of 19) races remaining.
