From his home country of Jamaica, in his first race of the year – his first step on the road to London – Usain Bolt made a 9.82 second statement to the world.
The 2011 Track and Field World Championships’ world record drought ends in dramatic fashion on the very last race of the competition with Jamaica’s powerhouse 4x100 meter relay team pacing out a barely believable time of 37.04 seconds.
Chalking up yet another historic mark, Usain Bolt takes the gold in the 200 meter dash with a time of 19.40 seconds – the fastest time clocked this year and the fourth fastest time ever run.
