Ducati Moto GP
It’s A Rapido Life
The hillsides of Tuscany are known not only for their lovely views but their fast curves—an ideal speeding ground for some of the world’s fastest motorcycles. In 1954 Ducati Corse was launched as a subsidiary arm of Ducati. The decades to follow were packed with mean leans as the company supplied racing bikes as well as everyday motorbikes and established itself as a global enterprise synonymous with signature speed and a sleek, Italian design aesthetic. Ducati rejoined Grand Prix motorcycle racing in 2003, after a 30 year absence, clinching its first Grand Prix World Championship in 2007. Despite changes in MotoGP’s engine rules, Ducati has consistently proven itself to be the markedly faster than its rivals. The Ducati Team currently has an all-star line-up, including Valentino Rossi, for the 2011 season.
