Algeria

Slicker Than Sly

The Desert Foxes are a team from which big things come. Always lurking in the shadows as a contender, they have recently made the move back to into football spotlight. Algeria made two consecutive World Cup™ tournaments, in 1982 and 1986, and won the Africa Cup of Nations® in 1990 as the host country. In 2008, they returned to the top 20 African teams and in 2009 reached the world’s top 50, after a 3-1 win against double African champions, Egypt, and a 2-0 win against Zambia. Since then, they signed with PUMA and qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. Despite a tough exit from the 2010 tournament, rest assured that the skills and determination of the Desert Foxes will not be disappearing any time soon.
