November 25, 2011Whenever I think of Interlagos I think back to 2003, when Giancarlo Fisichella won the Brazilian Grand Prix for Jordan Grand Prix. That race was so typical of the sort of dramas we have come to expect from this race: There was a massive smash in pouring rain, and the race was red-flagged.

November 11, 2011Let me confess something: I love being in Abu Dhabi for the grand prix, but have not as yet been able to put my finger on the reason. I mean, it’s great to have a place relatively close to Europe where we can race in warm weather in mid-November, but that alone is not the reason.

During those visits I grew to love this place, and believe we can learn so much from the attitude of the people – many of them lead unbelievably hard lives, yet their eyes radiate a peace that is simply unique.

October 07, 2011It really is wonderful to be back in Japan. I just love the place, and of course feel a strong connection to the country through having managed many drivers who raced here, plus I used Yokohama tyres in my Formula 3 team, and in Formula 1 we were successful with Bridgestone rubber.

September 23, 2011There is no doubt in my mind that Singapore’s Grand Prix is one of the major successes in Formula One’s history. Sometimes you have to introduce ground-breaking changes, and this is one of those. At the time Bernie Ecclestone had the vision for this, no one in their right mind would have thought it would be possible to have all the systems required for a safe Grand Prix at night.
